How can I set up discounts in my account?
Offering discounts is one of the most effective ways to attract more guests, increase your visibility on booking platforms, and fill calendar gaps.
In Holidu, all discount options are organized under Configuration → Discounts, which is divided into two main sections:
- Attract more guests with discounts
- Get more bookings with flexible conditions
How can I set up discounts in my account?
- Log in to your Holidu Host account.
- Go to Configuration → Discounts. Choose the discount or flexible condition you want to activate.
- Click Configure, adjust the necessary parameters (percentage, dates, minimum stay duration, etc.), and then click Activate to save.
By activating these options, you make your property more competitive and attractive to a larger number of travelers.
Attract More Guests with Discounts
In this section, you can enable different discounts to make your property more appealing:
New Listing Discount
- Automatically applied to the first 3 confirmed bookings of a new property.
- Default discount: 20%.
- If one of the first 3 bookings is cancelled, it does not count, and the discount will remain active until 3 confirmed bookings are reached.
Eligibility:
- Properties with fewer than 3 confirmed bookings → Eligible
- Properties with 3 or more confirmed bookings → Not eligible
Important: The New Listing Discount cannot be combined with other discounts and has priority over all other offers.
Discount for Mobile Users
- Attract guests who book from mobile devices via Booking.com, Holidu, and GoogleVR.
- Click Configure, select the discount percentage, and then click Activate.
Loyalty Discount
- Offer a fixed 10% discount to frequent travelers on Booking.com and Holidu.
- Activate it by clicking Configure and then Activate.
Early-Bird Discount
- Ideal for guests who book well in advance.
- Select the discount percentage and the number of days before arrival when it applies.
- Click Activate to confirm.
Last-Minute Discount
- Fill gaps in your calendar by offering discounts for upcoming stays.
- Choose the discount percentage and how many days before arrival it applies.
- Click Activate to enable.
Weekly Discount
- Applies to bookings of 7 nights or more.
- Select the percentage and activate.
Note: Early-Bird and Last-Minute Discounts are dynamic. This means they automatically adjust depending on the booking date.
For example, if you set a Last-Minute Discount for the next 7 days, it will always apply to bookings made “today” for stays within those 7 days.
Get More Bookings with Flexible Conditions
In addition to discounts, you can make your property more attractive by offering more flexible stay conditions:
Each option can be configured according to your property’s booking patterns and local demand.
Non-Refundable Cancellation Policy Discount
You can also offer guests a lower rate in exchange for a non-refundable cancellation policy:
- Go to Configuration → Cancellation Policies.
- Under your standard policies, you’ll find the Non-Refundable option.
- Select the discount percentage (10%, 15%, or 20%) and activate it.
This discount can be combined with any other active discount, except the New Listing Discount.
By combining discounts and flexible stay conditions, you can boost your property’s visibility, fill your calendar more effectively, and attract more guests.
