Looking for a Cotswold escape with room for the whole family and the dogs, without the hassle of driving somewhere new every day? Beaver Brook Lodge is set within Lower Mill Lakes, overlooking a quiet lily-pad pond, with everything close at hand.
The lodge is built for real life, with space to spread out, come together for dinner, and unwind by the fire.
Take mornings slowly on the balcony, or head straight out to explore the estateâs pools, play areas and lakes. Youâll have full private use of the lodge and access to the wider Lower Mill Lakes and the incredible facilities throughout your stay.
Parking is available on-site, with two allocated spaces and additional room for visitors. Check in from 4PM and check out by 10AM. You can arrive at your own pace with self check-in via key box, just give us a call if you have any issues. Shared Spaces: Youâll be staying in Lower Mill Lakes, a dedicated holiday estate, which means you also get access to an amazing range of shared outdoor spaces and facilities.
Itâs a relaxed, family-friendly setting, with plenty to dip in and out of throughout your stay.
Across the estate, youâll find indoor and outdoor swimming pools, spa and wellness facilities, tennis courts and multi-use sports courts, along with childrenâs playgrounds and an indoor soft play area (a rare find). Explore all the lakes have to offer by fishing, kayaking and paddleboarding, with cycling routes, walking trails and wildlife-rich grounds running throughout.
Please be mindful when using communal areas, and leave them as you found them for others to enjoy.
Some facilities and activities may be subject to availability or additional charges depending on the time of your stay. Nearby Food & Drink: Even though you have a full kitchen, sometimes itâs nice to make life a little easier and have someone else do the cooking for a change.
Thankfully, at Lower Mill Lakes thereâs a great mix of food and drink options across the estate, giving you flexibility throughout your stay without needing to travel far. Whether youâre planning a proper meal or just need a few extra bits, Ballihoo Restaurant serves relaxed breakfasts, lunches and dinners on site, while The Pizza Shack offers wood-fired pizza for easy takeaway.
Youâll also find The Snug for drinks and light bites, the Wine Room at Ballihoo with its self-serve wine dispenser, and Ballihoo Market for essentials, fresh bread and ready-made meals.
For a short walk beyond the estate, The Bakerâs Arms pub in Somerford Keynes is only around 15 minutes away. The house is dog friendly.
Two well-behaved dogs are welcome (£35 per dog). Travel cots, high chairs, potty and bottle sterilisers are provided.
Paddleboard hire is available on request, and decoration services can be arranged for special occasions. Quiet hours run from 10:30PM to 8AM, and we ask guests to respect the peaceful setting: No parties, and no smoking indoors. Pets: Allowed.
Smoking: Not allowed.
Events: Not allowed.

It's the perfect space to be active and explore, ideal for cycling, paddle-boarding, or just walking and enjoying the abundant wildlife and fresh air. South Cerney is only a few minutes away and is one of the areaâs most established villages.
Think traditional stone cottages, small, friendly shops, lovely pubs and delightful cafés. Tree-lined lanes and village greens all lead directly towards scenic lakeside routes, so natureâs nearby even when youâre shopping. Cirencester is about 10-15 minutes by car and offers boutique shopping, restaurants, markets, and a rich sense of history.
Kemble Station is also close, with direct trains into London, making this spot practical for quick weekend visits as well as longer stays. Beaver Brook Lodge sleeps up to ten guests across five bedrooms.
The master has a king-size bed and en-suite, the others a double bed, and two rooms feature bunk beds (perfect for the kids). The open-plan living area leads to a fully equipped kitchen, a dining table and a smart TV with fast Wi-Fi. Central heating keeps the space comfortable year-round, and the log burner will keep your evenings extra toasty.

Fantastic house which was really well equipped and close to the spa and Balihoo facilities. We had beautiful weather - hired a Kayak from the activity hub and paddleboarded on the lake. Plus did a walk around one of the bigger lakes which we haven't done before. Just the best weekend.
