Beautiful wooden chalet by the riverside, full of fish, with a boat and fishing equipment available free of charge all year round.
The chalet features an outdoor hot tub in the garden – imagine taking a warm 45C bath while surrounded by 1 metre of snow at –20°C. Come and admire the Northern Lights here in Central Finland – they are very frequent, so there’s no need to travel all the way to Lapland.
Go ice skating on the frozen lake just a 5-minute walk from the chalet, or enjoy sledding with the kids.
Try ice fishing, or have a barbecue on one metre of ice – sounds tempting? A ski resort is just 10 minutes away by car, where you can enjoy wonderful skiing, or go hiking, cycling, or jogging through stunning landscapes. In summer, the “Land of a Thousand Lakes” is simply breathtaking.
Take the boat and explore the lakes – you’ll find beautiful beaches, and during your journey you may spot moose, deer, and plenty of other wildlife. In spring and summer, the sun never truly sets.
In winter, darkness begins around 3 p.m., creating a magical atmosphere. The chalet sits on a 5,000 m² plot.
The area where the boat is located is private to the chalet; the other side, where the owner’s house stands, is shared with him. You can swim in the river both in summer and winter, or experience the outdoor spa followed by a refreshing roll in the snow before returning to the hot tub. There is a free sauna inside the house – simply reserve it a few hours in advance. Bicycles for both adults and children are available, along with a baby seat and a trailer for two children – all free of charge. The owner also offers breakfast and dinner menus – just message him for details. A large trampoline and other children’s games are on site.
The chalet has a barbecue and a smoker in the garden, available for use free of charge all year round. European hunters are welcome – your hunting license may be valid in Finland.
