For nature lovers and birdwatching enthusiasts, the trail begins in Vilar da Veiga, near the Caniçada reservoir, and promises a memorable experience.
Best enjoyed on weekdays and in the early morning hours, the route winds north along the N308-1, where the sounds of birdsong and flowing rivers accompany your walk.
The waterfalls of Gerês are another of the region’s treasures, all within easy reach.
From the famous Arado Waterfall to the more secluded Rajada and Fecha de Barjas, there’s always a hidden gem waiting to be discovered – showcasing the pure, powerful beauty of mountain waters.
