In the historic center of Siena, this 150 m² apartment offers you the experience of staying in a true Sienese home, full of history and character.
The spacious rooms feature original furniture and period pieces, blending historic charm with modern comfort. The large, impressive living room—with decorated ceilings, a grand chandelier, and antique furnishings—is the heart of the home.
Large windows fill the space with light, creating a welcoming atmosphere.
Next to it, the elegant dining room features a central table and period furniture, as well as an ancient majolica stove with a column flue, the focal point of the house. A unique feature is the portrait corridor, displaying an unconventional and witty collection that gives the apartment its distinct identity.
The sleeping area includes a double bedroom and a study that can be used as a second bedroom with a double sofa bed. The modern kitchen is fully equipped with all major appliances.
The bathroom combines period elements with contemporary comfort: marble sink, antique bathtub, and a spacious modern shower. Over the centuries, the house has been home to artists and intellectuals, including the satirical poet Girolamo Gigli.
Recently mentioned in a literary work, the apartment also features a custom marble installation—an octagonal column—created by an American artist who stayed here, now an integral part of the space. Every detail, from cutlery to linens, is original and in harmony with the home's history.

Truly a unique place to stay. Spacious, comfortable, and very well appointed in a perfect location with lots of great restaurants in the neighborhood. The host was easy to contact, helpful, and accommodating. It was hard to leave.

This place was special. A cabinet of curiosities with modern amenities. High ceilings, full of antiques and character. This was an apartment we could see ourselves staying in for an extended time.

Beautiful place. Needs another fan in the summer though. Kids were a little creeped out by the many restored paintings but they were incredible for those able to appreciate them. Plenty of room, very eclectic. Host was very friendly but spoke zero English. We would definitely stay here again, in the heart of the Pantera Contrada.
