Alassio is a well-known seaside resort that has welcomed travellers for centuries.

The promenade, along the sandy beaches, is perfect for taking a stroll or dining in one of the restaurants on the seafront. The pedestrian centre of Alassio, called "Budello" (30 minute walk) is unmissable.

Another place to visit is the Muretto di Alassio (20 minute walk) where there are more than 550 plaques with the signatures of various celebrities including Ernest Hemingway, stars such as Jean Cocteau and many famous actors and singers. Visitors can also explore the Côte d'Azur, which makes a perfect day trip. The closest airport is at Genoa, a 1 hour and 10 minute drive from the house.
