As befits such an enviable situation, looking out across rolling coastal countryside to the sea and neighbouring island of Zankynthos, attention to detail has once again been given priority hence, while décor, furnishings, even the house design itself may be uncomplicated and unpretentious they are, in equal amounts, inviting and attractive.
Such a harmonious balance, not easy to achieve, will certainly tempt visitors not to stray far! Nearby, the laid-back village of Spartia (2.2km) has a minimarket for essentials, a fresh bakery and two easy-going tavernas near the square serving local specialities alongside international favourites.
There is another taverna at Spartia Beach (2.7km), various other beaches to discover within easy distance and the surrounding countryside is lovely territory for walkers.
For impressive views across large swathes of the island head up to the ruins of St George Castle, just off the main road to the capital of Argostoli (12km).
Please note: The access lane is unmade and so low wheel based vehicles are not recommended.
Being located next to Alena, and along the same access road as Charma, means Melia could be a good choice for an extended family or a group of friends who can be near to each other whilst retaining their own individual space and privacy.

For Melia the charge is a flat rate of €8.00 (£6.96) per night.
