Together with the small fishing port, under the eye of the local church from 1509, make Porto Formoso a unique spot in Europe! The population lives from fishing, cattle breeding, agriculture, milk and cheese production. Nearby, about 15 minutes by car from Porto Formoso towards Furnas, there is a golf course, on excellent ground that enriches the game with overwhelming backdrops, slopes and magnificent views over the ocean.
