The house with a floor space of approx. 100 m² has three bedrooms and offers enough space for 6 people.
The combination of Infrared and real finish Sauna with view of that lake is amazing.
Each bedroom has two boxspring beds.
The spacious kitchen is integrated into the living room.
From the living room and dining room, you can have an amazing view of Lauwersmeer lake.
The bathroom has a shower and a toilet, there is a separate guest toilet.
It has two terraces with a barbecue.
There is also a washing machine and a dishwasher available.
There is (nl) cable tv and free Wifi. (Surroundings:) Oostmahorn is an old stronghold at the at the western side of the Lauwerslake with a rich history, dating back to the sixteenth century.
Nowadays it’s a very pleasant tourist destination at the National Park Lauwersmeer, hosting several holiday resorts.
The lake itself and the direct surroundings are a true paradise for nature lovers, fisherman, water sports enthusiasts, cyclists and hikers.
Dogs are more than welcome here as well.
There’s a special beach and a forest for them at Lauwersoog.
Within a couple of hundreds of meters there are several playgrounds for children.
At the beach, in the small resort ‘de Skâns’ and in Esonstad - which is a holiday resort build as a replica of a typical old Frysian city.
In Esonstad you’ll even find a bouncy castle and an indoor playing hall and one can play golf and foot golf here at the local Pitch & Putt area.
Renting a bicycle or e-chopper is also possible here.
In Esonstad you can easily do your daily groceries (a bigger supermarkt is just a couple of kilometers away in Anjum) or find a restaurant, pizzeria or a snackbar.
Another three restaurants are even closer to your holiday house.
Some of them offer spectacular lake views.
Other good options to enjoy the local seafood cuisine are the sea harbor of Lauwersoog at the northern side of the lake, the old fishing village of Zoutkamp at the eastside of the lake or at Dokkum, the most northern fortified city of Friesland.
To discover the National Park from the waterside you could bring your own boat or surf gear but there are boats and sailing boats for rent as well at ‘Paviljoen La Barca’.
If you’re more into cat sailing, try the local cat-club ‘omaho’, next to the small marina.
A boat-tour, sailing trip to Dokkum, bird or seal expedition can be booked around the corner and a ferry to the beautiful island of Schiermonnikoog, with it’s many miles of sandy beaches, is leaving from Oostmahorn as well.
The Lauwerslake (Lauwersmeer in dutch) is truly loved by fishermen for its large bream, roach, pike, perch and eel.
At the reception of Holland1 you can obtain a fishing permit.
Do you like to walk and do you want to relax? Then visit the fishing village of Paesens-Moddergat with its small museum and experience the Wadden Sea World Heritage with its largest unbroken system of intertidal sand and mud flats in the world.
Hiking over the mudflats of the Wadden Sea certainly is one of the most memorable activities in the Netherlands.
Guided tours can be booked here every day of the year.
Or just stay and enjoy yourself at your holiday house.
Just don’t forget to look up at the universe on a clear night.
With the title Dark Sky Park, Lauwersmeer National Park is one of the world’s darkest places.
Here, you can truly experience nature in the dark! (House rules:) Sunday check-in not available. - Check-in time: arrival time from 15:00h. - If pets are allowed in the house, we charge Eur 5 per pet per day.
Pets must be registered in advance. - It is not allowed to charge electric cars at the rented house. - Bed linen / towels / kitchen towels can be brought along or rented: 1 bed linen package: fitted sheet + duvet cover + pillowcase Foreur. 1 set of towels: 2 towels + 1 bath towel + 1 bath mat + 1 tea towel for 5 Eur.
Fishing license (valid in province of Friesland) price : 15 Eur per week.
Barbecue is allowed.
Smoking in the house leads to loss of security deposit.
If you cause damage to the property during your stay, you may be required to pay according to YourRentals’s property damage policy.

Die Lage ist perfekt. Das Haus war sauber und gepflegt. Unser Hund war auch kein Problem. Bei Fragen wurde uns sofort vom Vermieter geholfen 👍
Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.
Gerne kommen wir wieder
Eine große Salat Schüssel und ein paar große Tassen wären toll gewesen. Aber egal. Wir haben uns größere Kaffeebecher gekauft.
Ansonsten Top!

- Lage u. Größe des Hauses
viele Kleinigkeiten:
- Küchenausstattung für 6 Personen nicht geeignet...
zu wenig kleine Löffel, kein Brötchenkorb etc.
- nicht genügend Sitzauflagen für 6 Personen
- Fernsehprogramm war nicht aufrufbar.
- Draussen müssten unbedingt die Pflanzen zurück geschnitten werden, viel zu hoch !
Super Lage und erholsame Tage gehabt !!
